10D BEAUTIFUL NORTH XINJIANG-KANASI / HEMU/ DUSHANZI GRAND CANYON

Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport for your flight to the capital city of Xingjiang, Urumqi (via transit cities). Head for Burqin passing through the S21 Desert Expressway. The S21 Altay-Urumqi highway is located in northern Xinjiang and is the first desert expressway in China with a total length of about 340 km. The distance is reduced by more than 200 km compared with the previous east and west lines around the desert basin and it goes deep into the heart of the Gobi desert. Colorful landscape is varied on the way. The Gila Canyon, and a thriving agricultural park.

After a good rest and breakfast, coach to Hemu in Xinjiang- A hidden heaven and a photographer's paradise. Hemu was ranked in the top six most beautiful ancient towns in China by the Chinese National Geography Magazine. Enjoy the beautiful snow mountain, icy lake and grassland. Built 2030 meters above sea level, it has the best vantage point to view the ‘lake monsters’ in Kanasi Lake! Continue to visit Hemu Scenic Area (includes shuttle bus ride) ,at the [Viewing Platform] enjoy the beautiful scenery of Hemu again. Next visit [Hemu Bridge] and [Hemu Village]. The main ethnic groups living in Hemu Scenic Area are Mongolian Tuvas and Kazakhs.

After breakfast, head to Kanasi Lake ,China‘s only ecological site that has been awarded the title of the ’Pure Land of the World‘, due to its unspoiled original natural scenery. En-route, pass by and view the only lake in China that flows directly into the North Pacific Ocean, Irtysh Lake. Along the way, appreciate the amazing beauty landscape of Birch Forest, Wolong Bay, Moon Bay and Immortal Bay. Next ,visit [Guanyu Pavilion] (includes shuttle bus ride) to enjoy a bird's eye view of the fairy tale-like, lush greenery around Kanas Lake.

After breakfast, we'll return to the stunning Kanas scenic spot for a second exploration. There, you can enjoy a boat ride on Kanas Lake to the magnificent Sandaowan area. Our journey continues as we head to Tuwa Village, located in the beautiful Kanas Lake region. This village has a rich history, and its residents claim Mongolian ancestry, with records dating back to ancient times. Finally, we'll visit the Burqin Colorful Beach, known for its unique and vibrant rock formations that resemble a blazing fire, creating a breathtaking sight against the natural landscape.

Travel along the Gurbantunggut Desert to the [Urho Ghost City] also known as The Windy Town, the Ghost City has become a famous area for its unique landform and the howling wind. Due to its eeriness, it is also referred to as "Ghost City". Thereafter, view the oil producing centre [Kelamayi Hundred Mile Oil Field] along the way 

Embark on a journey across the Gurbantunggut Desert to reach the Urho Ghost City, also known as "The Windy Town." This Ghost City is renowned for its distinctive and eerie landform, shaped by the howling winds of the desert. It has earned the nickname "Ghost City" due to its unusual and otherworldly appearance. Continuing our travel, you'll have the opportunity to see the Kelamayi Hundred Mile Oil Field, a significant center for oil production.

Travel alongside the Kashi River, Gong Nasi River, and Turks River, three tributaries of the Ili River, and take in the breathtaking landscape as we journey to Sayram Lake. Sayram Lake, often referred to as a pearl along the Silk Road, stands as the largest alpine lake in Xinjiang and the highest of its kind. With its stunning natural beauty, this lake is nothing short of a fairyland. Along the route, you'll also encounter Guozigou, which is known as "Tale Qi Daban." This area is famous for its steep yet exquisite scenery, including snow-capped mountain peaks, lush forests, cascading waterfalls, and blooming flowers on both sides. Conclude your day with a delectable dinner featuring Roasted Whole Lamb.

We will take a coach to the Nalati Grassland, which includes a shuttle bus ride. Nalati Grassland is a sub-alpine meadow located within the Gongnaisi Grassland, known as one of the world's most magnificent grasslands. It boasts a remarkable blend of diverse plant life, valleys, mountains, and forests within its scenic expanse.

After breakfast, we will proceed to Jinghe. Jinghe County derives its name from the "Jinghe River" and is situated in the northwestern region of Xinjiang. It is part of the Bortala Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture and has a rich history as a center of the ancient Silk Road. The county is home to a diverse population of 26 ethnic groups, including Han, Uighur, Mongolian, Kazakh, and Hui communities.

After breakfast, we'll explore the breathtaking scenery of the Dushanzi Grand Canyon in Xinjiang. Then, we'll travel by coach to Urumqi. Upon arrival, we'll visit the Urumqi International Bazaar, which is currently the largest bazaar in the world. At the bazaar, you'll encounter a variety of ethnic costumes, handmade carpets, crafts, souvenirs, and get a glimpse of local shops, restaurants, and mosques. In the evening, you have the option to enjoy a Urumqi Folk Dance Performance (at your own expense).

After breakfast, we'll explore the **Urumqi Museum and the **Red Mountain Park. After lunch, we'll say goodbye to Urumqi and make a stop at a domestic city for your flight back to Singapore.
